The Southworth LSD Series puts two scissor mechanisms side by side under one platform. That gives a wide, stable deck for large loads, with capacities from 4000 to 12000 lbs.

Southworth lists 24 standard models with 36, 48 or 60 inches of travel. Standard LSD models start at a 48″ x 48″ platform; wide base LSD-W models start at 72″ x 48″ and reach platforms up to 132″ x 120″, for tables up to 11 feet wide.

How to Choose the Right Dual Scissor Lift Table

Choose capacity (4000, 6000, 8000, 10000 or 12000 lbs) and travel first. The -36 and -48 models lower to 7-1/4″; most -60 models lower to 10″ and raise to 70″.

Then choose the base. Standard LSD models take platforms up to 72″ x 120″. The LSD-W wide base models take platforms up to 120″ x 96″ (-48W) or 132″ x 120″ (-60W). Several 36-inch travel models run on 1 HP 115/1/60 power, which suits shops without three-phase power.
