6″ Ultraflex Rigid Caster with Integrated Toe Guard – 28UX60JO64174Y

Description

On a busy plant floor, casters take more impact than anything else under your equipment. The 28UX60JO64174Y puts a steel barrier between the wheel and the foot. It’s a 6-inch Ultraflex polyurethane rigid caster, with the toe guard cast directly into the yoke as part of the casting.

Cast as one piece of steel from the foundry, the toe guard inherits the structural strength of the yoke itself. There is no welded joint and no fastener in the load path — the protection is part of the caster geometry.

The 6-inch Ultraflex wheel uses a Shore A 80 polyurethane tread on a heavy aluminum core. The extra-thick tread cushions the ride and lowers push/pull effort once the cart is rolling. Rated up to 1,000 lbs, with a temperature range of -50°F to 180°F.

The 28-series rigid frame is the fixed-position mate to our 27-series kingpin swivels. Run 28 rigids on the trailing corners and 27 swivels on the leading corners for a cart set that tracks straight under load and steers cleanly at the corners. Bright zinc finish standard, NSF listed, with a 5/8-inch kingpin construction, double ball raceway, and grease fitting for long service intervals.
