4″ Ultraflex Rigid Caster with Integrated Toe Guard – 28UX40JO63174Y

Description

On a plant floor or warehouse aisle, the simpler the caster, the longer it lasts. The 28UX40JO63174Y puts a steel barrier between the wheel and the foot. It’s a 4-inch Ultraflex polyurethane rigid caster, with the toe guard cast directly into the yoke as part of the casting.

The toe guard is part of the yoke geometry rather than a piece bolted to it. The structural connection is the casting itself — one continuous piece of steel from the mounting plate to the guard.

The 4-inch Ultraflex wheel uses a Shore A 80 polyurethane tread on a heavy aluminum core. The extra-thick tread cushions the ride and lowers push/pull effort once the cart is rolling. Rated up to 900 lbs, with a temperature range of -50°F to 180°F.

The 28-series rigid frame is the fixed-position mate to our 27-series kingpin swivels. Run 28 rigids on the trailing corners and 27 swivels on the leading corners for a cart set that tracks straight under load and steers cleanly at the corners. Bright zinc finish standard, NSF listed, with a 5/8-inch kingpin construction, double ball raceway, and grease fitting for long service intervals.
